The famed ancient Greek play ANTIGONE depicts Antigone’s public defiance of a Theban king’s tyrannical choices, and explores themes of civil disobedience and speaking truth to power.

ANTIGONICK is Anne Carson’s unique translation and re-envisioning of ANTIGONE. Her new title evokes the crucial timing of events, the “nick of time,” in the play.

Anne Carson is an internationally acclaimed poet and translator.

ANTIGONICK will feature actor/dancer Oogie_Push, a citizen of the Meskwaki Nation, in the role of Antigone.
